In Loving Memory of
Mr. Marcelo Diaz
January 16, 1940 – February 11, 2010
Mr. Marcelo Diaz, 70, of Austin, passed away after a courageous battle with a long term illness on Thursday, February 11, 2010.
Mr. Diaz was preceded in death by a son, Richard Diaz.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Beatrice Diaz, son, Roland Diaz and Michelle, daughters, Elaine Diaz and husband, Louis, Patricia Diaz and Sally Pena; sister, Helen, brothers, John Paul Sr., Joe, Robert, and Amador Diaz, all of Austin, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Roland R. Diaz, Ted R. Castellon, Chico and Chris Duran, Louis Martinez, Lou Calderon, Rene Diaz and Reno Diaz. Honorary pallbearer is Jimmy Guzman.
Recitation of the rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the Angel Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday at St. Ignatius Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
The Diaz family would like to thank Hospice Austin, especially Paula Pratte and Jack Harrison for all the care and support they provided to our father.
